Facilitating, coaching, convening

My work combines learning design, facilitation, coaching and systems thinking. I have a particular passion for working with people outdoors. I specialise in designing and hosting experiences that enable others to get away from their ‘ordinary’ environments - opening up fresh perspectives and modes of thinking. Whilst working in and with natural settings is my first love, I relish the challenge of making the most of wherever we find ourselves - indoors, outdoors or in the digital realm.

For groups - I design and facilitate workshops, gatherings, training sessions and community engagement processes. I’ve worked with all sorts of clients - from teenagers and senior academics, to front-line workers and globally distributed leadership teams.

For individuals - I offer one-to-one coaching in outdoor locations. This can be a local park or nature reserve, or a stroll amongst the urban jungle. Wherever we are, we’ll use what’s around us to unlock fresh perspectives on your questions and challenges.

Examples of topics my approach naturally lends itself to include:

  • building trust, relationships and team culture

  • identifying and overcoming barriers and challenges

  • supporting entrepreneurial journeys

  • enabling systems awareness and ‘long time’ thinking

Take a peek at Human Layers - a tool for connecting across generations that I co-designed with friend and fellow Point Person Ella Saltmarshe. There is also an audio version, one of six Practices offered as as part of her podcast The Long Time Academy.

Being deeply collaborative by nature, I am always open to conversations about how my work can enhance an existing or developing programme. I am also lucky to know many talented learning design specialists, facilitators and outdoors professionals whom I love to work alongside.  Feel free to be in touch to find out more or you can read some testimonials here
